ABOUT PHYSICALLY FIT TEAM
Our Story
When January was sixteen years old, she tore her ACL while playing basketball. She had big dreams — earning a Division I scholarship, playing overseas, and, if she was lucky, hardworking, and ambitious enough, making it to the WNBA. Basketball was her first love and greatest passion.
The injury was devastating. At that time, January thought her life was over. In an instant, she had to rethink her entire future — and she had never even considered a plan B. Little did she know that this injury would introduce her to another passion she didn’t even realize she had.
January became a Physical Therapy Specialist because she understands what it’s like to “sit on the sidelines.” That experience fuels her to help every person she works with get back in “the game.”
Over the years, she has worked as a Physical Therapist in multiple settings, noticing a concerning trend — a shift toward treating people like dollar signs. In other words, the focus was becoming less about how many people could truly get better and more about how many could fit into a day’s schedule. January made it her mission to do things differently — to treat every patient as she would a family member or friend, seeing their value far beyond money.
